Natural Programming - where does he find the time?
I make the time. It is important. In order to teach Natural effectively it is essential to understand what the programming community does and doesn't know about Natural, what facilities go unused, what efficiencies are ignored, etc. The only way to discover this is to be out in the programming community. Once a year or so I try to schedule a one month programming assignment. This can be difficult. I have to restrict my assignment times due to deadlines for Inside Natural and teaching assignments, especially the multi week sessions. Nonetheless, I do schedule programming time with some regularity. I find that "tuning" sessions are amenable to such scheduling. That is reviewing code, making efficiency changes, and teaching about the changes to a staff. A short term development project is also welcome; although time constraints often mitigate against such involvement. Please call to discuss your programming needs. If I can not be of help, I can often provide you with contact information for people who may have the time available that you require.
